Hi! My name is Sarah Kaiser, and this is where I tell you a little bit about myself. I like to sing and play ukulele, guitar, marimba, percussion, piano, and oboe. I ride mopeds and love working on my 1978 JCPenney Pinto2. I enjoy cooking, but mostly consuming the outcome. I am an atheist and a secular humanist, and I agree with Bertrand Russell that “a good life is one inspired by love and guided by knowledge.” I started a group for secularists on my campus, and we brought Richard Dawkins to my school last semester. I’m a fan of Couchsurfing. I love racquetball. I have a wonderful boyfriend named Eoban Binder. He is a web designer extraordinaire. I try to be honest and open with people about myself – and I think sharing my life on a website is a reflection of that belief.
I started this website in January 2010, in preparation for my trip to Copenhagen, Denmark, to study abroad. I am a physics major at Indiana University in my final year, and will be spending my last semester studying with a Danish program called DIS. This site is centered around my travel blog, which I will use to document my journeys to Copenhagen and beyond. Read my first post welcoming new readers here.
After my semester in Copenhagen, I’ll be spending a few weeks traveling around Europe with Eoban. We’ll be using Eurail passes to trek about the countryside in Germany, the Czech Republic, Italy, France, and hopefully a few other countries as well. If you have any travel tips please get in touch with me – I welcome any and all advice.
Finally, after my semester in Denmark I will be looking for employment. (Time to enter the so-called “real world.”) If you know of any businesses or organizations that are looking for a young person with a physics degree, experience in print and web design, and leadership skills, please send them my resume or contact me!
