Hi! My name is Sarah Kaiser.
I like to sing and play ukulele. I enjoy cooking, but mostly consuming the outcome. I am an atheist. I agree with Bertrand Russell that “a good life is one inspired by love and guided by knowledge.” I started a group for secularists on my campus. We brought Richard Dawkins to IU in 2009. I’m a fan of Couchsurfing. I love racquetball. I try to be honest and open with people about myself – and I think sharing pieces of my life on a website is a reflection of that belief.
I started a version of this website in January 2010, in preparation for my trip to Copenhagen, Denmark, to study abroad. I recently graduated from Indiana University with a B.S. in physics, and spent my last semester of college studying with a Danish program called DIS. This site started out centered around my travel blog, which I used to document my journeys to Copenhagen and beyond. Though my European travel adventures are over, I hope to maintain a travel-oriented mindset and continue to post on that blog.
At one point I had food blog called “Eating IN” about making food at home in southern Indiana, with an emphasis on local ingredients and vegetarian options. It’s not relevant anymore now that I’m living in Buffalo, NY, but much of my past work is cross-posted on Earth Eats.
I started my career working at Solution Tree doing social media marketing for 2 years. However, about a month ago I accepted a new position at the Center for Inquiry as a campus organizer. It’s kind of my dream job. I tweet as @SarahebKaiser.
